Halt to Introduction of "State-compiled History Textbooks" Demanded in S. Korea
Pyongyang, November 3 (KCNA) -- It has been disclosed that the maternal uncle of Cha Un Thaek, confident of Choe Sun Sil, was the core member of the staff of Chongwadae who pressed ahead with the "system of introducing the state-compiled history textbooks".

Angered by this, historians and educators are issuing statements in succession and demanding an immediate halt to the introduction of the above-said system.

On November 1, 47 societies of historians held a press conference in Kwanghwamun plaza in Seoul at which the participants issued a declaration on the situation demanding the present regime thoroughly investigate the monopolization of administration and immediately stop the introduction of "state-compiled history textbooks" pushing back the education of history.
