Alejandro Cao de Benos, chairman of the Korean Friendship Association headquartered in Spain, was elected chairman of the remembrance committee.

The committee decided to set up a website and give wide publicity to the works and exploits of Kim Jong Il and hold political and cultural events including a remembrance meeting and seminar on the above-said anniversary.
