Present there were officials of Juche idea study organizations in 11 areas including the Russian Association for the Study of the Juche Idea and other masses.

Dmitri Kostenko, chairman of the Russian Association for the Study of the Juche Idea, was elected chairman of the remembrance committee.

The chairman said the Juche idea followers of Russia deem it their duty to conduct positive events praising Kim Jong Il for his great contributions to the Korean revolution and accomplishment of the cause of global independence, on the fifth anniversary of his demise. He went on:

The Russian people are remembering Comrade Kim Jong Il who greatly contributed to developing the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries.

The progressive people are convinced of the scientific accuracy and truth of socialism and inevitability of its victory thanks to his energetic ideological and theoretical activities.

He firmly defended Korean socialism despite all moves of the imperialists with his original Songun politics during the most difficult Arduous March and the forced march.

In order to achieve genuine independence and sovereignty the world progressive people should make deep study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism.
