Minju Joson Demands Japanese Authorities Stop Suppression of Chongryon and Koreans in Japan at Once

Pyongyang, November 10 (KCNA) -- The Japanese authorities and the right-wing reactionaries have become ever more undisguised in their moves against the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon). This is prompted by their black-hearted intention to tarnish the prestige of the dignified DPRK, a nuclear giant in the East, and stir up unrest and horror in the Korean community by inciting anti-DPRK and anti-Chongryon sentiments in the international community, zealously pursuant to the U.S. policy of isolating and stifling the DPRK, and thus suppress and stamp out Chongryon at any cost.

The Japanese authorities are now hell-bent on threatening the personal safety and life of Koreans in Japan and on the moves to disband Chongryon, a legitimate organization, far from making an apology and reparation for their past crimes. This is another crime against humanity which deserves the punishment of Heaven.

Standing behind Chongryon and Koreans in Japan are the DPRK and the entire Korean nation.

The DPRK will never pardon such sinister politically-motivated terrorism and brutal persecution but decisively counter them.

The Japanese authorities had better stop such suppression at once, bearing in mind that their persecution and suppression of Chongryon and Koreans in Japan would only harden the will of the service personnel and the people of the DPRK to take revenge upon them and that they will have to pay a high price for them.
