Results from Recovery Effort in Disaster Areas of DPRK
Pyongyang, November 10 (KCNA) -- A big progress has been made in the embankment project and the restoration of roads in Yonsa and Musan counties, some of the flood-hit areas in the northern part of the DPRK.

In Yonsa County, servicepersons finished a project for improving the Yonmyon Stream and the embankment in 1,500 meter-long section, removing 60 000 cubic meters of earth only in ten days.

Shock brigade members from different parts of the country, including those of the Paektusan Hero Youth Brigade, too, carried out the embankment along the Yonmyon Stream by removing 28,900 cubic meters of earth and laying 4,200 square meters of stones.

In Musan County, shock brigade members of the Ministry of People's Security completed the embankment along the Tuman River in 500 meter-long section.

Members of the Construction Shock Brigade 922 carried out much portion of the project for restoring the 30 km-long roads in the county.

Also, road improvement has been made smoothly in some 40 km-long section of Pinse Pass and Chophyong Pass.
