The students that prove successful in the preliminaries sponsored by the most prestigious universities are expected to take part in the finals.

Students of the DPRK proved successful at the world finals of the 40th contest held in May and thus the DPRK obtained the qualifications to host the regional contest, helping more students advance into the world contest.

Over 120 students selected from 28 universities of the DPRK, divided into 42 groups, took part in the Pyongyang regional contest.

The students succeeded in correctly solving the problems by pooling wisdom.

The standings were announced.
