The novel is set in the period from the beginning of Juche 100 (2011) to the end of December. It depicts the last period of the revolutionary career of leader Kim Jong Il who made high-intensity forced march to the forefront of the revolution to mix with people all his life.

It also deals with the ardent loyalty and sense of moral obligation with which Marshal Kim Jong Un assisted Kim Jong Il with loyalty accompanying him and made sure that the sacred history of immortalizing the great leaders is given steady continuity.

The novel says the life of Kim Jong Il was the noblest one of the great revolutionary and peerless patriot who devoted his all to the country and its people, adding that thanks to Kim Jong Un the revolutionary history of Kim Jong Il is given steady continuity.
