People's Resistance Declared, Joint Action Launched in S. Korea

Pyongyang, November 12 (KCNA) -- Organizations for forcing the Park Geun Hye regime to step down are being formed in various areas and sectors of south Korea, sparking off popular resistance, according to reports from Seoul. According to information available from the Emergency People's Action for Ouster of the Park Geun Hye Regime, 13 sector measure councils including the Situation Council of Students for Ouster of Park Geun Hye, the Solidarity of Secondary and High School Students, the Emergency Situation Council of Minor Traders and Industrialists and the Christian Movement Headquarters were formed as of Nov. 9. The University Students Council groups 66 university students councils and 39 university students bodies and involves university students movement for issuing declarations on the situation in 135 places from across south Korea. 203 organizations formed the Seoul Action for Ouster of Park Geun Hye and issued a declaration on the situation. The Headquarters of the Movement for Ouster of the Park Geun Hye Regime grouping 351 civic and public, religious and political circles was formed in South Jolla Province. At least 100 organizations in south Korean Kangwon Province formed the Emergency Kangwon Action for Ouster of the Park Geun Hye Regime. Candlelight actions demanding ouster of the regime are simultaneously under way in 68 areas including cities, counties and districts. Overseas Koreans said they would launch solidarity actions of various forms including declarations on the situation and candlelight rallies, timed to coincide with the people's all-out action of the south Korean people. |
