The team came first in men's and women's team ice hockey and short-track speed skating as well as in figure skating.

In particular, its three players set the national record in 2,400m group sliding of speed skating and one player bagged five gold medals in women's short-track speed skating event.

Experts and spectators were unanimous in stating that the Taesongsan Sports Team is the country's strongest one in winter sports events.
