DPRK Women Greet 6th DWUK Congress with Labor Feats
Pyongyang, November 16 (KCNA) -- All members of the Democratic Women's Union of Korea (DWUK) have worked hard to greet the 6th DWUK Congress with labor feats.

In response to the call of the C.C., Workers' Party of Korea, those in flood-hit North Hamgyong Province turned out in a drive to recover from flood damage.

They played an active role in recovering the disaster areas and supplied 30,000 pieces of tools, tens of thousands of daily necessities and tens of tons of essential foodstuff to the recovery effort.

Women's union members in South Hwanghae Province provided 10 tons of scrap cast iron and aluminum to the Haeju Tractor Accessory Parts Factory and farm machine stations in nine counties.

Those in North Hwanghae and North Phyongan provinces also rendered sincere assistance to the repair of diesel locomotive and gathered a lot of idle materials to help increase the production at industrial establishments.

Meanwhile, more than 22,000 women's union members throughout the country volunteered this year to work feats in light industrial, agricultural and other economic sectors.
