Participants in 6th Congress of DWUK Visit Mangyongdae

Pyongyang, November 17 (KCNA) -- The participants in the Sixth Congress of the Democratic Women's Union of Korea visited Mangyongdae, the birthplace of President Kim Il Sung. They laid bouquets before the graves of Kim Po Hyon and Ri Po Ik and the graves of Kim Hyong Jik and Kang Pan Sok and observed a moment's silence. Visiting the old home in Mangyongdae, they looked round historical relics preserved there, recalling the revolutionary history of Kim Il Sung and the noble lives of his family in Mangyongdae, patriotic and revolutionary down through generations. They also visited the Chilgol Revolutionary Site. At the time-honored place associated with the revolutionary history of Kang Pan Sok, outstanding leader of the Korean women's movement, they once again deeply grasped the exploits of the great revolutionary who devoted everything to the revolutionary cause for genuine dignity and rights of women. They visited the Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery on Mt. Taesong to lay bouquets before the bust of anti-Japanese war hero Kim Jong Suk and make bows to her. They also visited the Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum. They made bows to the statue of the President waving back to the columns of the military parade at the square for celebrating the victory in the war. They laid bouquets before the sculpture "Victory" in the Monument to the Victorious Fatherland Liberation War and paid tribute to the victors of the great years. They visited the National House of Class Education, base for class education against imperialism and the U.S. They enjoyed the revolutionary opera "Victory of the Revolution Is in Sight". |
