A candlelight meeting took place at the Kumnam Avenue on Wednesday under the sponsorship of Kwangju Regional Headquarters of the Confederation of Trade Unions.

The Metal Workers Trade Union declared on Tuesday that it would launch a general strike in demand of Park Geun Hye's resignation.

Meanwhile, the Headquarters of the Movement for forcing Park Geun Hye to step down are being continuously formed across south Korea.

More than 300 political parties and civic and social organizations in South Kyongsang Province formed the Headquarters of the Kyongnam Movement for Forcing Park Geun Hye to Step down on Wednesday.
