Mother's Day of DPRK Marked in DR Congo
Pyongyang, November 20 (KCNA) -- The National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea of DR Congo posted an article titled "Mothers of the DPRK" on its website on Wednesday.

The article said that the DPRK significantly marks Nov. 16 as the Mother's Day every year. It went on:

In the past the mothers of Korea had their personality and dignity as women and the right to motherhood ruthlessly violated in the fetters of feudalism to shed bitter tears as members of stateless nation.

But they could enjoy a worthy life as they held President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il as the outstanding leaders in high esteem.

The social and historical factors that restricted the freedom of women and their right to motherhood for thousands of years were finally terminated thanks to the warm loving care of the peerlessly great persons.

In the DPRK the mothers are freely participating in the state and social activities while fully enjoying the independent right.

Many mothers are making positive contributions to building a powerful socialist nation as deputies to the power organs at all levels, officials of the party, state and economic organs and public organizations, heroes, people's sportspersons and people's actresses.

The mothers of the DPRK will dynamically advance to the road of patriotism and loyalty under the policy of respecting and prioritizing the women in the future, too.
