Torsten Schoevitz, chairman of the German Communist Party, and the chief of the German Group for the Study of Korean Culture, were elected chairpersons of the committees.

The committees set the remembrance period from Nov. 14 to Dec. 17 and decided to organize political and cultural functions such as a remembrance meeting and seminar.
