It was reported that more than 500,000 people in Seoul and one million people from all parts of south Korea took part in the candlelight actions which were launched simultaneously under the sponsorship of the Emergency People's Action to Force the Park Geun Hye Regime to Step down grouping more than 1,550 civic and social organizations.

The fourth all-people action rally took place at Kwanghwamun Square in Seoul.

The general students councils of more than 30 universities held a rally on the situation outside Hongik University and demanded Park make a decision on her resignation.

At least 20,000 unionists under the Confederation of Trade Unions held a rally of workers for resigning Park and shatter suppression of workers at Seoul Square.

Members of the Minju Party and citizens held a rally of making a resolution for resignation of Park Geun Hye at Chonggyechon Plaza.

Religious bodies launched a demonstration in demand of Park's resignation in front of the Kyongbok Palace.
