Prior to the full-dress meeting in Seoul, rallies took place outside the Seoul City Office, at Seoul Square, Chonggye Square, Posin Pavilion and other places.

Labor organizations, students councils, political parties and religionists organizations held rallies satirizing and ridiculing traitor Park while shouting slogans demanding Park's resignation in different parts of the city.

Organizations of different circles gathered at Kwanghwamun Square and held an all-people action rally from 6 p.m. with candle-lights in their hands.

The full-dress rally with 500,000 people attending had its number increased to more than 740,000.

The participants strongly denounced Park for refusing to face the prosecution's investigation under unreasonable pretexts.

At the end of the rally the participants marched toward Chongwadae.

The puppet security authorities set in motion nearly 20,000 policemen of more than 200 companies to set up bus walls around Chongwadae, blocking the demonstration columns.

The demonstration columns held a rally in the direction of Naeja-dong crossroads.

Broad segments of people standing alongside road leading to Kwanghwamun continued their action till the dawn of the next day.

Meanwhile, there took place similar rallies and demonstrations all at once in local major and minor cities and other places across south Korea with more than 400,000 people involved.
