Foreign Ministry Spokesman Blasts Obama for Pulling up DPRK

Pyongyang, November 22 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the Foreign Ministry of the DPRK Tuesday gave the following answer to a question raised by KCNA as regards the fact that Obama pulled up the DPRK over its legitimate bolstering of nuclear force: During a recent APEC summit in Peru, Obama again took issue with "provocation" by the DPRK and its "denuclearization". His string of rhetoric about provocation and outdated call for sanctions and pressure on the DPRK is the last-ditch efforts to evade the responsibility for compelling the DPRK to have access to nuclear weapons and cover up his failed DPRK policy. Explicitly speaking once again, the hideous hostile policy toward the DPRK and nuclear threat and blackmail against it pursued by the successive rulers of the U.S. have been a root cause of escalating the tension on the Korean peninsula and a fundamental factor that pushed the DPRK to have access to nuclear weapons. The U.S. undisguised moves aimed to violate the sovereignty and the right to existence of the DPRK will only bolster its spirit of self-development and its will to bolster nuclear force. The basic way of settling the issue of the Korean peninsula is for the U.S. to face up to the changed strategic position of the DPRK and the trend of the times and to make a bold decision to withdraw the hostile policy toward the DPRK. Should the U.S. fail to discard the anachronistic way of thinking, it will face more miserable and bitterer consequences than what it faced so far. |
