When the de-nationalization of railways pushed forward by the Park Geun Hye regime from the outset of its office was checked by the bloody struggle of workers, it has resorted to unprecedented crackdown upon the railway trade union, regarding it as a thorn in its flesh.

Owing to the economic crisis and the destitution of people's living caused by the regime, many workers died due to the worst working conditions.

More than one million people across south Korea expressed their will at a time when actions are gaining in scope and strength to demand the resignation of Park Geun Hye, and punishment of Choe Sun Sil and the dissolution of the "Saenuri Party."
