The foreign minister referred to the achievements made by the army and people of the DPRK in the drive for carrying out the five-year strategy for national economic development set forth at the Seventh Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea. He underscored the stand of the DPRK government to steadily develop the long-standing friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries.

The Algerian ambassador said that the bilateral relations are the historic relations of friendship and cooperation which has been developed since the national liberation struggle of Algeria, adding the two countries have supported with each other in the international arena. He noted that Algeria is attaching great importance to developing the friendly relations with the Korean people.

He said he would make positive efforts to develop the bilateral relations in the political, economic, cultural and other fields.
