American-Style Democracy Meets Its End in Face of Int'l Community: Rodong Sinmun

Pyongyang, November 24 (KCNA) -- Shortly ago, the British newspaper the Financial Times reported that the recent U.S. presidential election was recorded in history as the dirtiest one and it gave the international community an opportunity of getting disillusioned with American-style democracy and sneering at the U.S. U.S. media also said that the recent presidential election gave a chance of disclosing the absurdity and reactionary nature of American-style democracy. Most of world analysts unanimously commented that there has never been before such presidential election which directly defamed the moral value of the U.S. and its image as "a guardian of democracy." Rodong Sinmun Thursday says in a commentary that the above-said comment is nothing new. It goes on: The U.S. has interfered in other countries' internal affairs in every matter while styling itself a guardian of democracy and a judge but the recent presidential election provided American-style democracy with an opportunity of facing a stern judgment by the world. The U.S. should no longer work hard to cover up its ambition for dominating other countries and nations with a silk veil. American-style democracy is no longer workable as a major lever for achieving its sinister purpose and realizing its ambition for dominating legitimate sovereign states. The U.S. has neither face nor justification to force its democracy upon other countries. American-style democracy is not genuine one but the most reactionary and corrupt one. For any country and nation to accept it leads to its ruin. This is the conclusion made by the international community this time. The endless criticism and mockery made of the recent presidential election meant the end of American-style democracy. |
