Ri Jae Myong, mayor of Songnam City of Kyonggi Provinice, on Nov. 22 submitted an indictment to the Seoul Central District Prosecutor's Office demanding Park be punished on charges of dereliction of duty and accidental homicide as regards seven hours of her act at the time of the ferry Sewol sinking.

On Nov. 21 the Press Trade Union submitted an indictment to the Seoul Central District Prosecutor's Office demanding a punishment of Park and Kim Ki Chun, former chief secretary of Chongwadae.

It accused Park and Kim of obstructing press activities by way of unreasonably dismissing the manager of the paper Segye Ilbo who reported about the suspected intervention in "state affairs" by Jong Yun Hoe.

The Damage Measure Committee of the Kaesong Industrial Zone referred Choe Sun Sil to the prosecution.

It said that a thorough investigation should be made of Choe on the suspicion that she deeply interfered in the decision on closing the zone and suspending south-north economic cooperation.
