Pyongyang, November 25 (KCNA) -- A series of provocative farces were staged one after another in different parts of south Korea on Nov. 23, six years since the Yonphyong Island shelling incident occurred, according to the south Korean Yonhap News. The south Korean warmongers held a memorial ceremony at the "joint tomb of the war dead in Yonphyong Island shelling" in Taejon, beautified their provocative course while talking about "noble sacrifice" and "people's courtesy" and made rubbish of labeling defeat as "victory". Units of the puppet forces situated in the hot spot waters in the West Sea staged firing drills of self-propelled artillery pieces and missiles, survival drill of soldiers and evacuation drill of inhabitants to cope with "provocation from the north", fanning up a war fever. Earlier, puppet Minister of Defense Han Min Gu went to Yonphyong Island on Nov. 22, where he asserted that "northwestern islands are where the south and the north stand in acute confrontation", "the north's provocation like the one six years ago should never be allowed" and "stern punishment should be meted out to defend the northwestern islands". The puppet marine corps reportedly set the month November as a "period of remembering the Yonphyong Island shelling" and will conduct "special mental education for officers" and joint drills of units at different levels. |
