More than 1.9 million people including workers, peasants and children took part in the action.

In the wake of holding group-and strata-specific advance meetings and march to encircle Chongwadae in major places of Seoul, the citizen's council for realizing democracy in south Korean society met again at Seoul Square.

They gathered in the Plaza of Kwanghwamun to have a full-dress meeting for the fifth all-people action.

The meeting with the attendance of 600,000 people was started and, in a split second, its scale increased to at least 1.5 million.

At the end of the meeting, its participants started the second march to encircle Chongwadae from eight routes. They held a speech-making meeting denouncing the Park Geun Hye group of traitors for their crimes till the morning of Nov. 27.

Timed to coincide with the massive struggle in Seoul, candlelight vigils and demonstrations took place simultaneously with the attendance of 400,000 people in more than 100 different local areas.

Media reported that large-scale meetings were held in different parts of south Korea with more than 1.9 million people in attendance.
