Pyongyang, November 29 (KCNA) -- The Material Engineering Department of Kim Chaek University of Technology succeeded in employing the FSW (friction stir welding) technology and developed new-type isomeric metal terminal. In this regard, Kim Tae Hong, its developer, told KCNA: Researchers made equipment and tools for FSW on their own efforts and established the process of producing isomeric metal terminal by ascertaining all technological parameters through computer simulations. The new terminal is long in serviceable life and its contact resistance is no more than half, as compared with that of the import. It can be processed with vertical milling machine and lathe. |
