The wreath was laid at the mourning place of the Cuban National Theatre on Nov. 29 by a DPRK party and state delegation led by Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), vice-chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and vice-chairman of the WPK Central Committee, on a visit to Cuba to express condolences over the death of Fidel Castro Ruz.

Written on the ribbon of the wreath were the letters "Kim Jong Un" and "I mourn the demise of Comrade Fidel Castro Ruz."
