Korean Army and People Are United Close around Their Leader: Russian Newspaper
Pyongyang, December 1 (KCNA) -- The Nov. 21st issue of the Russian newspaper Komsomolskaya Pravda carried an article illustrated with a photo of supreme leader Kim Jong Un in praise of the DPRK.

Noting that Korea, a theatre of fierce scramble of big powers in the past, was a small country under the imperialists' colonial rule, once eclipsed on the world map, the newspaper said:

In 1950 the U.S., which boasted of being the "strongest" in the world, ignited the Korean War by mobilizing huge armed forces to nip the two-year old DPRK in the bud. That time the world society worried over the DPRK's destiny.

However, the result of the war was contrary to its expectation.

The Korean War drew down its curtain with the first defeat of the U.S. which had won only victory in more than 110 wars since its founding.

Western media made "collapse" of the DPRK a fait accompli at the close of last century when socialism collapsed in some countries.

But the Korean people not only defended socialism but ushered in a fresh era of building a socialist power. The DPRK's first satellite was launched in August 1998 as a solemn declaration of its start.

The international community's wrong expectations and forecasts are attributable to its misunderstanding of the DPRK.

The DPRK is fundamentally different from other countries. It is a country in which the army and people have held in high esteem the outstanding leaders down through generations and are united around them as firm as rock.

Herein lies the secret to the DPRK's registration of world-startling victories and successes.
