Rodong Sinmun Friday says in an article that the U.S. and Japan began conspiring with each other out of their common interests in the scenario for invading Korea after watching for a chance to swallow up it from long ago.

The article goes on:

In July 1905 the "Katsura-Taft agreement" was signed. Under this agreement the U.S. acknowledged the Japanese imperialists' occupation of Korea and domination over it. In return for this Japan promised not to intervene in the U.S. colonial domination over the Philippines.

On Nov. 30, 1908 the then U.S. state secretary Root and the then Japanese ambassador to the U.S. Takahira signed an "agreement" on "maintaining the status quo in the Pacific region" by way of exchanging memorandum.

The agreements were products of despicable conspiracy in which the U.S. imperialists' brigandish and crafty nature and the Japanese militarists' inveterate bad habit of invasion and sinister nature backed by big powers were intertwined.

It was because of those aggressive and brigandish documents that the Korean nation fell victim to the U.S. and Japanese imperialists for a long period, being subject to all sorts of shame and disgrace such as military occupation, colonial domination and tragedy of division and war disaster, with its national development seriously hamstrung.

The history of conspiracy between the U.S. and Japan for aggression persists even today.

Their ambition to dominate Korea through conspiracy is a daydream.

Should the U.S. and Japan keep going reckless through conspiracy, the army and people of the DPRK will reduce to ashes the citadel of aggression with the might of Songun built for decades and thus put an end to the history of U.S. and Japan interwoven with crimes.
