In the message Pak Pong Ju said he was pleased over the great achievements of the Lao government and people in the work for socio-economic development and improving people's living standard for the past 41 years.

Expressing belief that the traditional and excellent relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries will grow stronger in different fields, the message wished the Lao prime minister bigger successes in his work for development of the country.

Meanwhile, DPRK Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho sent a similar message to Lao Foreign Minister Saleumxay Kommasith on the same day.
