Exhibition on Achievements of UAWK Opens

Pyongyang, December 2 (KCNA) -- An exhibition on the achievements of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea (UAWK) opened with due ceremony at the People's Palace of Culture on Friday to mark the 8th Congress of the UAWK.

On display at the exhibition are more than 650 pieces of 45 kinds showing the achievements and 60-odd visual aids prepared by the Central Committee and provincial committees of the UAWK.

Present at the ceremony were Ri Il Hwan, department director of the C.C., the Workers' Party of Korea, Ri Myong Gil, chairman of the C.C., the UAWK, and officials and members of the union.

At the end of the ceremony the participants looked around the venue of the exhibition.
