A working session of the north side, south side and overseas side preparatory committees for a nationwide great meeting for reunification was held in Shenyang, China from November 30 to December 1 amid the growing interests and expectation of Koreans at home and abroad for the meeting.

It decided to hold a nationwide great meeting for reunification without fail to bring about a new turning phase in the drive for peace of the country, improvement of the north-south relations and national reunification to the will of all Koreans.

It also decided to name the meeting "the nationwide meeting of the Koreans for peace and reunification of the country and improvement of the north-south relations", fully reflecting the will of Koreans of various circles at home and abroad hoping for the successful meeting.

It decided to form a joint working committee of Koreans in the north, the south and abroad for preparing the nationwide meeting and continue to discuss and push ahead with detailed technical issues.
