At least 11 900 dwelling houses were completed in the flood-hit areas and hundreds of houses in Puryong, Hwadae and other counties and cities of North Hamgyong Province. And few-storied and single-storied houses for hundreds of families came into being in Kangryong County and multi-storied 200-odd homes in the township of Paechon County, South Hwanghae Province.

Hundreds of new dwelling houses also appeared in the Ryongjon Fruit Farm, Pukchong County of South Hamgyong Province, Jwawi Co-op Farm, Suan County of North Hwanghae Province and Sujin-ri, Uiju County of North Phyongan Province.
