Events Held in Countries to Remember Kim Jong Il
Pyongyang, December 8 (KCNA) -- Events took place in different countries from Nov. 20 to Dec. 2 to commemorate the 5th anniversary of demise of leader Kim Jong Il.

Lectures were given in Russia, Austria and Mali and book exhibition and film shows held in Nigeria.

On display in the venues of the events were books introducing the revolutionary exploits of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il and the achievements made by the army and people of the DPRK in building a thriving socialist power under the guidance of supreme leader Kim Jong Un.

The head of the Center for Asian-Pacific International Relations Studies in Khabarovsk of Russia referred to the fact that Kim Jong Il defended socialism and laid a solid foundation for the country's prosperity with the might of the Songun politics.

The head of Progres School in Mali said that the Korean people have wrought world-startling miracles and innovations one after another in all the spheres of social life.

A permanent secretary of the Niger State Government of Nigeria and other speakers praised Kim Jong Il for having turned the DPRK into an invincible socialist power under the banner of the Juche idea, the Songun idea and opened up a turning phase for Korea's reunification.

"The Sun of Songun Shedding Its Rays All over the World" and other Korean films were displayed at the film shows.
