Rodong Sinmun Thursday in a commentary terms the group of traitors' action the last-ditch efforts of the confrontational maniacs who are working hard to completely freeze the inter-Korean relations and take revenge on the north, while breathing their last.

Tragedy is that the group of traitors no more than harmful insects are foolish enough to calculate that they can block the just road chosen by the army and people of the DPRK through their nonsensical talk about what they call "independent sanctions." This ridiculous action amounts to jumping into the abyss of self-destruction, the commentary says, adding:

The DPRK is powerful enough to mercilessly smash "independent sanctions", group or additional sanctions sought by the hostile forces.

History and reality go to clearly prove that neither economic sanctions nor blockade by the hostile forces can ever work on the DPRK.

We warn the group of traitors seeking to stifle the compatriots in the north, not awakened from the daydream, though their miserable doomsday is fast approaching: No matter how desperately they may escalate the confrontation with the DPRK in collusion with outside forces, they can neither block the dynamic advance of all service personnel and civilians of the DPRK along the road of independence, Songun and socialism nor tide over their worst crisis.

Their hysteria will only precipitate their shameful destruction.
