KCNA Commentary on S. Korean Regime's Projected Introduction of "State-compiled History Textbooks"
Pyongyang, December 8 (KCNA) -- The offending nature of the "introduction of state-compiled history textbooks" being pushed forward by the Park Geun Hye regime of south Korea has been brought to light.

Recently, the puppet regime of south Korea posted to-be-screened copies of the "state-compiled history textbooks" on internet. And it announced that it would introduce them around next March into all middle and high school across south Korea after "supplementing and completing" them.

The copies written by some ultra-right conservative pseudo-historians at back parlors are peppered with paradox embellishing the treacherous rule and fascist dictatorship of the successive rulers of south Korea including traitor Park Chung Hee and inciting confrontation with the compatriots in the north.

The puppet regime is getting desperate in twisting the truth of history in a bid to cover up the crime-woven history stained with disgrace and high treason. This is also aimed to benumb the consciousness of independence of the rising generation in south Korea by instilling into them the reactionary outlook on history and hostility toward the compatriots in the north and thus turn the south Korean society into a conservative and reactionary one generation after generation. This base act constitutes a crime against the nation.

The "introduction of state-compiled history textbooks" is, in essence, a fabrication of history to help Park realize her sinister design to "restore" the "honor" of her father and justify the crimes he committed by pursuing pro-U.S., pro-Japanese acts and dictatorial rule.

To "restore the honor" of traitor Park Chung Hee is the lifetime goal of Park Geun Hye.

Park has worked hard to have the grudge of him who met miserable death settled, openly praising her father as her mentor and teacher.

Since she became the boss of Chongwadae by grabbing power in an illegal manner, she has buckled down to reviving the "yusin" dictatorship and changing history textbooks.

Claiming "students should study with balanced textbooks", not with the existing ones "leaning to left", Park gave a curtain-raiser to the debate on "introduction of state-compiled history textbooks."

Despite the strong protests of historians, teachers and other people of various circles, the Park regime has persisted in distorting history though it faces the worst ruling crisis.

Park schemes to introduce the "state-compiled history textbooks" in the run-up to the next year's 100th birth anniversary of her father, an extension of her moves to "restore his honor."

Traitor Park is the worst source of trouble for the nation that should never go with impunity as she abused even history textbooks, which should be used to teach the right outlook on history and nation to the rising generation, for the purpose of realizing her wild ambition.

No wonder, south Koreans set fire to the old home of Park Chung Hee's family and vandalized "monuments" to the old dictator amid the growing voices of the public censuring the "state-compiled textbooks" as "pro-U.S., pro-Japanese textbooks embellishing dictatorship of Park Chung Hee" and "monster-like ones twisting history", demanding the retraction of their introduction and resignation of Park Geun Hye.

Those who are beautifying the crime-woven history of the "yusin" dictator and challenging the truth of history deserve such frosty reception from the public.
