Present at the meeting were the captain and crewmen of the Tanzania-flagged ship Everbright.

The participants laid bouquets before the statues of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il in Chongjin City and paid tribute to them.

Speeches were made at the meeting.

The speakers stressed that Kim Jong Il is the general with matchless pluck and guts and the greatest man with distinguished leadership qualities and noble personality.

They said that though he passed away, the Korean people and other progressive people of the world would always remember him.

A letter to supreme leader Kim Jong Un was adopted at the meeting.
