Vital Balla, chairman of the Congolese Association for Friendship among Peoples, was elected chairman of the remembrance committee.

The committee decided to widely introduce the revolutionary career and exploits of Kim Jong Il through media and organize political and cultural functions such as a remembrance meeting and film show on the occasion of the 5th anniversary of his demise.
