The bulletin said that Kim Jong Il's decades-long history of party leadership is shining with the undying exploits he performed to turn the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) into a united steel-like vanguard and genuine political organization.

Noting that he authored "The Workers' Party of Korea is the Party of the Great Leader Comrade Kim Il Sung" and other famous works to declare the will of the WPK to faithfully carry forward the idea and exploits of Kim Il Sung, the bulletin went on:

He formulated the Songun politics as a basic mode of politics under socialism, in keeping with the requirements of the changed harsh situation and the era of independence against imperialism, and led the WPK to open the road to prosperity by dint of the Songun politics.

The high prestige and invincible might of the WPK and its feats for the revolution and construction would have been unthinkable without leadership of the great Comrade Kim Jong Il.
