HE Kim Jong Il was a rare politician who performed immortal exploits before the era and history with his outstanding ideology and theory and extraordinary leadership and an iron-willed commander who turned the DPRK into a political and military power and nuclear weapons state by pursuing his original Songun politics.

He was a benevolent father of the people who kept their interests before anything and devoted his all to them till the last moments of his life.

We pay highest respect to Kim Jong Il, the great leader of the Korean people and the world progressive people, looking back upon his sacred revolutionary career.

Maung Maung Naying, director general of the Myit Tar Moe Publishing House of Myanmar, praised Kim Jong Il for demonstrating the scientific accuracy and truth of socialism and inevitability of its victory through energetic ideological and theoretical activities.

He said that Kim Jong Il firmly frustrated the reckless moves of the imperialists to stifle the DPRK by dint of Songun and reliably defended socialism and global peace and security.
