People's Progressive Party of Nigeria Holds Kim Jong Il as Honorary National Leader
Pyongyang, December 12 (KCNA) -- The People's Progressive Party of Nigeria held leader Kim Jong Il as honorary national leader in high esteem.

A ceremony for conveying the certificate of the title of honorary national leader to him was held in Abuja on Dec. 7.

Present at the ceremony were Damian Ogbonna, national chairman of the People's Progressive Party of Nigeria who doubles as co-chairman of the International Preparatory Committee for the 2017 Meeting Praising Great Persons of Mt. Paektu, members of the party leadership, DPRK Ambassador to Nigeria Jong Yong Chol and his embassy officials.

The participants laid bunches of flowers before the picture of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il standing together and paid tribute to them.

The national chairman of the People's Progressive Party of Nigeria handed the certificate over to the DPRK ambassador.

The national chairman said that Kim Jong Il performed immortal feats for building the party, the state and the army with the far-reaching intention to glorify socialist Korea.

In particular, Kim Jong Il developed the Workers' Party of Korea founded by Kim Il Sung as the party of the leader loyal to him without any slightest stagnation and standstill and the party serving the people, the national chairman said, adding:

It is the due obligation of all of us to award the title to Kim Jong Il.

A letter to supreme leader Kim Jong Un was adopted at the ceremony.
