Against this backdrop, the south Korean war-like forces staged a large-scale live-shell firing exercise in the hotspot waters of the West Sea of Korea. And they conducted joint military exercises together with the Air Force of the U.S. imperialists in the plea of coping with the "contingency of large-scale surprise attack" of the DPRK.

In this regard, Rodong Sinmun Tuesday comments that these are nothing but last-ditch efforts to divert elsewhere the public criticism with creation of "security crisis" and "instability" and weather the ruling crisis.

It says:

It is the black-hearted intention of the U.S. and the south Korean puppet regime to escalate the moves to unleash a war against the DPRK at any moment under the pretext of "coping with provocation."

The reckless actions of those trigger-happy forces may develop into a war against the north at any moment.

The powerful revolutionary army of Mt. Paektu is closely following the movement of the enemies running amuck to start a war against the north.

It is the south Korean puppet forces that will be punished by the merciless strike of our army.

The puppet forces would be well advised to stop running wild, well aware that desperately resorting to the moves to ignite a war against the north in conspiracy with the foreign forces, misleading the public opinion through the racket of "security crisis," is a foolish act that will result in their doom.
