The Ecuadorian Committee for Supporting Korea's Independent and Peaceful Reunification, the Ecuadorian Cultural Institute for the Study of the Juche Idea and the Ecuador-Guaranda Institute for Friendship and Cultural Solidarity with the Korean People stressed this in their joint statement on Dec. 3.

Noting that the U.S. and its followers cooked up another "sanctions resolution" by abusing the UN Security Council over the DPRK's nuclear warhead explosion test conducted in September, it said:

This is a criminal act to stifle the independent and righteous sovereign state.

The DPRK's test is a self-defensive measure for coping with the moves of the U.S.-led hostile forces to stifle it.

The UNSC's act against the DPRK at the U.S. instigation is sparking off the indignation of the world progressive people.

We strongly condemn the UNSC's "sanctions resolution" as the most shameful encroachment upon sovereignty.

No force can match the army and people of the DPRK led by the outstanding and brilliant commander.
