His declaration represents the steadfast will of the WPK and the DPRK government to ensure peace on the Korean peninsula and contribute to the world peace by dint of powerful self-defensive deterrent.

It is the unanimous desire of the Korean people to enjoy the highest level of civilization in a peaceful environment freed from war.

But this desire does not come true naturally as one wishes. Only when a country possesses powerful physical strength and war deterrence can it guarantee genuine peace.

The U.S. imperialists are the harasser of the world peace and security and also the target of main attack in the efforts to accomplish the global cause of independence.

As long as there exists imperialism on the earth, confrontation is unavoidable and, therefore, for the DPRK to bolster up its nuclear deterrence is the best decision to defend peace.

It is an urgent matter in ensuring the peace and security of the world to avert a war and defend peace on the Korean peninsula, the biggest hotspot in the world.

The DPRK is not the only target of the U.S. It is the ulterior intention of the U.S. to contain the neighboring countries with the whole Korean peninsula as a springboard and put under its control not only the Asian-Pacific region but also the rest of the world.

It is the fixed will and stand of the WPK and the DPRK government to defend the sovereignty and peace of the country and build a peaceful world free from war by dint of powerful self-defensive muscle under the situation where the dark clouds of a nuclear war are hanging over the peninsula.
