Gift Animals at Central Zoo in DPRK

Pyongyang, December 14 (KCNA) -- The Central Zoo located at the foot of Mt. Taesong in Pyongyang of the DPRK houses over 400 animals of at least 200 species presented to leader Kim Jong Il by prominent personages and people of different countries and overseas Koreans. Among them are white rhinoceros and parrot with gray-red train sent by state leaders and rare animals and an animal hall proffered by the director of the Skansen Aquarium in Sweden. A Korean resident in China presented white tigers to Kim Jong Il on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of his start of work at the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea. |
