The message said that the Syrian Arab people are sharing sorrow with the Korean leadership and the friendly Korean people on the occasion of the 5th anniversary of demise of leader Kim Jong Il.

It noted that they are recalling the efforts made by Kim Jong Il and the exploits he performed by leading the Korean people, firmly adhering to his ideology, line and principles of resistance during the arduous days.

He greatly contributed to making the DPRK achieve progress and development and win a great victory in the struggle to defend socialism and the nation, it said.

The message hoped that Kim Jong Un would complete the struggle for the Party, revolution, the country and its people guided by Kim Jong Il, the eternal leader of the Workers' Party of Korea, and the Korean revolution whose basic mission is to realize global independence.
