Candlelight Meeting of Koreans in New York
Pyongyang, December 15 (KCNA) -- Koreans residing in New York held a candlelight meeting in Manhattan on Dec. 9 in demand of the resignation of Park Geun Hye, according to Minjok Thongsin, an online newspaper of Koreans in the U.S.

At the meeting, speakers declared that candlelight action should continue till a society in which the 70-years-old evil abuses are eradicated and popular masses emerge masters in south Korea has been built.

They held that only by doing so, it is possible to prove the truth behind the ferry Sewol disaster and nullify the "agreement" on sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army, a military agreement with Japan and the "state-compiled history textbooks".

They declared that overseas Koreans would carry on their candlelight actions in the future, too.
