Cha Sang Bo, vice-chairman of the General Association of Koreans in China who is heading the delegation of the General Association on a visit to the homeland to commemorate the 5th anniversary of Kim Jong Il's demise, said this in an interview with KCNA on Saturday.

He said:

Retrospectively, the whole life of Kim Jong Il was a sacred life of the father of the nation as he dedicated his all only to the prosperity of the country and the happiness of the people.

He continued a ceaseless journey for the people, going through even roads between high and rugged sharp-cut cliffs and despite biting midwinter cold and midsummer heat.

The history of mankind knows no such a popular leader as Kim Jong Il who based his political creed on the people-centered idea and the people-first principle and adhered to it as an unchangeable cornerstone.

His devoted efforts for the people under the motto of believing in the people as in Heaven can never be forgotten.

It is greatest fortune and blessing of the nation of the sun to have the great men of Mt. Paektu generation after generation.

The Korean residents in China will further strengthen the General Association, a patriotic legacy of the great leaders, into an overseas Koreans' organization of supreme leader Kim Jong Un.
