Senior Officials of DPRK Pay High Tribute to Kim Jong Il at Kumsusan Palace of Sun
Pyongyang, December 17 (KCNA) -- Senior party, state and army officials of the DPRK visited the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun on Saturday, the nation's greatest memorial day, to pay high tribute to leader Kim Jong Il on the fifth anniversary of his demise.

Kim Jong Un, supreme leader of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), the state and the army, visited the Palace at 09:00.

He entered the hall where the statues of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il are standing.

The chief of a guard of honor of the Ground, Naval, Air and Anti-Air Forces of the Korean People's Army and the Worker-Peasant Red Guards made a salute towards the statues.

A floral basket in the name of Kim Jong Un was placed at the statues.

Also laid were floral baskets in the joint name of the Central Committee and the Central Military Commission of the WPK, the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK, the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly and the Cabinet of the DPRK.

Kim Jong Un together with the participants paid high tribute to the statues.

Then he entered the hall where Kim Jong Il lies in state.

He, together with the participants, paid deep homage and made bow to Kim Jong Il.

The participants went round the hall where orders Kim Jong Il received are on display.

Accompanying the supreme leader were Kim Yong Nam, Hwang Pyong So, Pak Pong Ju, Choe Ryong Hae and other senior party, state and army officials and members of the party central leadership organ in Pyongyang, officials of the party and armed forces organs, ministries and national institutions.
