Remembrance Meeting Held at DPRK Embassy in Moscow
Pyongyang, December 19 (KCNA) -- A meeting for remembering leader Kim Jong Il on the 5th anniversary of his demise took place at the DPRK Embassy in Moscow on Dec. 16.

The participants in the meeting laid floral baskets and bunches of flowers before the picture of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il and paid tribute to them.

Then they looked round the photos displayed on the subject of "The great Comrade Kim Jong Il will live forever."

They paid a silent tribute in memory of Kim Jong Il.

Several personages made speeches at the meeting which began with the playing of immortal classic "Where Are You, Dear General?" by artistes of the "Orchestra of the 21st Century" of Russia.

They praised the personality of Kim Jong Il as a great man and his great feats performed for the development of the bilateral friendly relations, recalling the days when they had honor of being received by him.

Attending the meeting were personages of the State Duma, political parties, the government, institutions and public organizations of Russia, including: Kobzon, deputy to the State Duma who is the first vice-chairman of the Cultural Committee of the State Duma, Taysaev, secretary of the C.C., Communist Party of the Russian Federation who is chief of the Russian-Korean Friendship Parliamentary Group of the State Duma, Churov, roving ambassador at the Foreign Ministry, Prokhanov, editor-in-chief of the newspaper Zavtra who is a winner of International Kim Il Sung Prize, and other figures of the Party for Peace and Unity, the Foreign Ministry, the Orchestra of the 21st Century, the Academy of Sciences, the Izborsk Club, the Russian Association for Friendship and Cultural Cooperation with the DPRK and the Russian Group for Solidarity with the DPRK.

Kim Hyong Jun, DPRK ambassador to Russia, and his embassy officials were present at the meeting.
