National Landscapes and Handcrafts Exhibition Opens
Pyongyang, December 19 (KCNA) -- A national landscapes and handcrafts exhibition opened at the Pyongyang International House of Culture Monday to observe the 99th birth anniversary of anti-Japanese war hero Kim Jong Suk.

Displayed in the center of the exhibition hall are photos of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il, acryl painting "Wishes of All Peoples" and oil painting "Personally Standing on Sentry Duty"depicting Kim Jong Suk.

On display there are more than 140 art works including Korean paintings, oil paintings, embroideries and handcrafts produced by artists in various parts of the country.

The art works deal with the revolutionary career of Kim Jong Suk and the exploits she performed by setting an example in devotedly protecting the leader and opening up a rosy future for the revolutionary cause of Juche.

Some art works remind visitors of the giant footprints left by the three commanders of Mt. Paektu across the country.

Displayed there are art works depicting the reality in the DPRK making leaping advance under the guidance of supreme leader Kim Jong Un and ceramic, metal and horn works.

Officials in the field of culture and arts, art lovers, working people and university students in the city visited the exhibition that day.

The exhibition will run till Dec. 30.
