Condolences to Russian FM

Pyongyang, December 20 (KCNA) -- DPRK Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho Tuesday sent a message of condolences to his Russian counterpart Sergei Viktorovich Lavrov as regards the sudden death of Andrei Gennadiyevich Karlov, Russian ambassador to Turkey, due to a terrorist attack.

The message expressed deep sympathy and condolences to the Russian foreign minister and the bereaved family of the deceased.

It said that Karlov made a great contribution to developing the Russia-DPRK relations while working as Russian ambassador to the DPRK.

Reiterating the stand of the DPRK's government against all forms of terrorism, violence and extremism, the message sincerely hoped that the sorrow of the bereaved family would be assuaged as early as possible.
